Im looking at updating to a new 2014 D4D GXL Auto so just wondering if the 120 D4D GXL Auto is the same chassis? I have the update 2008 model but don't think that makes any difference. Reason being, I might keep a few existing things such as sliders etc for the new car. Might just give them a nice repaint and shine up before hand.

Your sliders definitely won't fit without major modifications.

The truth is though that most if not all probably haven't been truly tested to see if they don't affect the airbags; as the test procedure for that cost around 50 grand and you need to supply a Vehicle for destruction on top of that. Most if not all on the market get an impact test done on the step and an engineer writes a report to say that it shouldn't affect the airbags.
