Passenger side rear quarter panel window loose rattle/noise

I have noticed an increasing noise from the rear passenger door quarter window (the fixed part) when it rains and note also that the glass appears somewhat loose in the seal. I asked Mr Toyota yesterday about it at service and they have blamed the tint that was applied (by their recommended shop three years ago).

I find it a little hard to believe but I now have to chase up the tint shop who did the work the day after I bought the car as Toyota arranged it but I dealt directly with the store.

Has anyone had similar experience with the window with or without tinting?

Hi Croz are you sure its the window as I would have thought it was silcaflexed in place.
Have you looked under the guard at the plastic panel that gets soft and rattles. Just a thought.
Hard to think Mr T would give you the brushoff.
Mine hasn't got tint but had a rattle that I chased back to the panel.

Definitely the window. You can see it moving 5-6mm in the frame if you press on it. Doesn't appear to be any sika, just the rubber seal.

I spoke to the tinter, who just laughed and rightly so. They don't remove the glass to tint it despite that being what toyota claim. Back to the dealer next week I guess.

Measure twice Cut once. Just reread your first post Sorry was thinking of the rear cargo area glass.
