  • Stone damage under rear plastic bumper

I've only driven 100 Km.on dirt roads so far & the stone damage under
the plastic bumper bar is horrific. Caused by stones flicked up by tyres
but not protected by the inadequate mud flaps. ( a very poor design )
Looks like my $65K 4WD is not designed to go on dirt roads!
I'ts worth a look if you have been off road.
    Any thoughts?

I would suggest all you can do is put some urethane extenders on like we use on the rally cars... will help stop the damage.

This also happened with the 120s.
A lot of us have extended the rear mudflaps using various methods, it doesn't totally stop it but helps.
Have a look in the 120 sections - I am not sure if these methods will work on the 150.
      Cheers, Wayne

Re: Stone damage under rear plastic bumper

Yep, have the same damage. Trying to get Toyota to do something but need help.
I believe it is really a design fault. This is going to happen on sealed roads as well, just take a while.
Should not happen to a vehicle that is sold as an Australian country, 4x4.

Email [email protected] and complain that you feel its a design problem.
The more that do the better

Similar mumbo jumbo from Toyota when I made an enquiry about something else. In other words, piss off, it's not toyota's problem. Probably training to be politicians with those replies.

            Yowie.
