Splash guards inside the front wheel arch

OK, so I was replacing one of the rubber splash guards inside the front wheel arch and noticed a difference between the drivers side & passenger side. The drivers side has a hard plastic guard to protect the washer bottle but it's like I'm missing something on the passenger side, or is this normal?

Ive just replaced my left hand gaurd, And the genuine one that I put back in looks exactly the same as your photos

Thanks for the responses, I also checked one in the car park at work & it’s the same.
