Hi Guys,
When I gave my prado (2010 GRJ150R VX) for service today the service person called and said all of my break pads need replacement and gave a quote for $1200.
I felt it is too much. This is my first Prado and don't know its that expensive or just dealer is over charging me!!!
The Odometer says 127K Kms and most of them are driven by the previous owner.
when I do a pre-purchase inspection the report says as below:- (Odometer was 109K)
Estimate Of Brake Pads Remaining: Front Left: 70% Rear Left: 70 % Front Right: 70% Rear Right: 70%
Since I am driving 3K to 4K in 6 months they agreed to change in next service.
my doubt is 18K Kms only I have driven in 3 years and 70% of break pad is finished so soon?
May be my driving cause the damage? (Mainly short trips less than 10 kms daily- Kids pick up & drop, shopping)
Please advise do I really change it now or wait for next service. I am planning for a small drive (1000km) in christmas holidays.
Thanks in advance
