Auto temp sender fitting.

Has anybody fitted an auto temp sender? I was wondering where was a good place to fit it and is there any good adaptors to use to fit them. Itwas mentioned to me to fit it in the drain plug but I think it would get smashed off very quickly especially if you use your prado as a 4wd.

I fit mine on the upper line to the radiator. I used a 3/8 inch barb fitting with an npt thread. That was before scangauge was able to get ATF.
