    Guys
    Anyone had any issues with the transfer case jumping out of low range? It's only happened once but it did crunch and scare the crap out of me.

    How did it jump out of l4? Was it under load or when stopped, motor running or stopped, auto/manual, etc.

    I've lost count of how many times I've used L4, for driving and recovery operations needing more than one pull car, and it's NEVER jumped out of L4.
    My Rig: 150 GXL D4D, Tough Dog adjustable suspension with 60mm lift, Polyair bags, ARB Winch Bar, Warn Winch with Dynamica Rope, Outback Ideas recovery points, GME UHF, HID Low/High Beam, Lightforce Genesis HID Spots, Dual Battery Setup with rear power outlets, ARB air compressor in engine bay, ~30L Watertank mounted behind fueltank.

      Was there a chance it wasnt engaged properly?

        mines never jumped out but it sounded hard on it when i tryed to turn on paving once. what were you driving on?

          It's likely it wasn't engaged properly. However it shouldn't jump out. Was driving back to camp on a grass surface in L4 after recovering a very stuck patrol. I had a two line pull with a snatch block with the prado anchored by another landcruser. I drove the car over 500m in low ranger to get to the patrol so it should have been engaged. During the winch I was in neutral with the park brake off and just using the foot brake and the cruiser behind me as the anchor. Winch didn't really bog so it want working too hard, and there were no real shock loads applied, just a solid smooth winch. Car runs 285 cooper st maxx.
