    Auto temps

    Hi guys,

    What kind of temps are you getting on your autos

    I just fitted a oil cooler and a scan gauge and reaching temps of 110c

    Hi Mike. If you are using the standard Scangauge ATF temp you will be getting the temp at the torque converter so it is higher than the actual fluid temp. On the scangauge site there is a custom code for a hilux atf temp. This will give a more accurate reading.

          Reading the last post in that link about the boost, does yours hold the -3 at idle and peak out at about 9?

            No idea Mike. I don't use the boost gauge.

              Mine peaks out at 11.9. Maybe I have seen 12

                  Just went and started it in the carport. -.1 at idle but that is stone cold. Off to the GTG in the morning so won't be able to report back about idle when hot for a little while

                      Wow I wonder y I have -3 I will hook up a old boost gauge and test it on the manifold

                        Saw 12.3 boost towing the camper uphill on way to GTG. Torque Converter temp went to 123 with cooler fitted. Maybe you will find Scangauges reading a little differently to one another?
