  • Another Trans Cooler Install

In the process of installing a Davies Craig trans oil cooler.

I understand it needs to go into the return line to the transmission.

Which line is the return line? I would have thought it was the bottom line coming from the radiator.
Does the return line go into the 'sump' of the transmission?

Welcome to Pradopint dbmartin. In a 150 Diesel the return line comes out of the radiator from the top line, then returns to the trans.

A common set-up is to pick it up at the top outlet and run through the cooler and then back to the trans.
    Cheers
    Micheal.

Copy that. That's what we read from the forum but were still a bit confused as the top line was 2-3 degrees warmer than the bottom line after doing the "put it in drive for 30 seconds check"

      Thanks.
