  • Diff locks

Hi everyone, I have recently acquired a 2010 auto v6 kakadu and so far have been very happy.
So we are starting to plan a few little 4wd trips and thought I'd test out the diff lockers and make sure everything is all good to go.
First issue is when I press the center diff lock button nothing happens. No light on dash, no noises and it definitely doesn't engage.
Press rear diff button and light flashes on dash but won't stick on hard. Rear diff also doesn't lock.
Everything else seems to be working without issues.
I've done lots of searching on the issue without much luck.
Is there anyone out there that could point me in the right direction with where to look and what to check?
    Thanks in advance, Luke

Hey. Dunno. But you could check fuses initially...

      cheers gordon,
update so far is someone had taken the centre console out and didn't align the pins correctly in the plug at the of the back of the switch. straiten them out plug back in and centre diff light functioning and diff lock working fantastically.
unfortunately rear diff lock still not engaging.

but I'm happy with the centre diff win for now!

Good to see the centre diff working. The rear locker is a little tricky to engage. Make sure you're on slippery surface. I find mine pops in easier when I move back ever so slightly, like rolling backwards. It make a distinctive click when it engages. You can hear it from inside and out.

The manual says to turn the well left to right but I haven't needed to do this. The few times I've put it in it has engaged. I've only used it when towing a trailer on the sand/beach from a standing start or pulling a boat out off the beach when absolute maximum traction was needed. 99% of the times the centre diff lock is all that is needed unless you're getting into some hairy situations.
