Need some help and advice. At around 90,000km we needed to replace our clutch, then at around 100,00km when we would pull up at lights, it would not go into 1st gear.
We would have to drop it into second then back into first to take off. This would happen intermittently. Then a couple of weeks ago it would not go into reverse.
Again we would try the clutch several times and again put it into second then it would go into reverse.
Took it to Toyota service centre who replace the oil, and for a few hundred kilometres had no issues but it has started again not going into first when we pull up to lights or stop.
it doesn't matter if the engine is cold or hot it just randomly won't go into 1st..
Took it to a mechanic and he said the synchro has gone..............any ideas if this is the case?
