Towbar earth to battery for 150

Hi , Has anyone tried running pin 3 (earth) from the towbar plug straight back to the battery on a Prado 150.
Usually it's no issue with older models but the LC200 & prado 150 use the canbus & not sure how it will affect..

Why do you need to do that? If the 150 is the same as the 120 then there is a set of relays and seperate earth to power the trailer lights.
