  • Using spare spots in the main relay/fuse box

Looking at wiring up my new set of HID's and was thinking of trying to keep things neatly contained in the main relay/fuse box. There are a couple of spare spots to stick relays and fuses in the GXL, so I was thinking of trying to wire up my relay and fuse combo for the HID's into the fuse box. Has anyone had any experience with this or heard of bad experiences ?
Poking around in the engine bay with a torch, it doesn't seem like the fuse box comes apart to easily add your own bits, but that could also be the poor lighting and a little Bundy affecting my judgement.

    cheers

    Hey Damien

Don't give Toyota a reason to question a warranty request because you have altered a standard fitting. There are plenty of distribution boxes you can use that are as good if not better. Also you have changed interior lights to LEDS how did you do that?

      Hi Richo,
Funnily enough I didn't even think of the warranty side of things. Think I will just go with my original plan and use a relay and inline fuse. Thanks for pointing that out.
As to the LED interior lights, I got replacement LED globes from http://www.brightlightautoparts.com/...entGlobes.html
T104SMD2PW for the Maplights either side of the sunglass holder.
T105SMDW for all the other wedges ..... door wells and vanity mirror.
31F8SMDW1P for the light over the rear seats (centre row).
      BL-UNILED for the cargo bay.

I used the "cool white" colour and am happy with the end result. Will try and take some photo's and stick in the post I started on this a month or so ago.

      cheers
