Where to install Tekonsha Prodigy P3

The controller has an emergency activation switch which you can use if the trailer develops sway and so it should be accessible. I have also occasionally adjusted the braking force and other settings so it is better if it is accessible. It also visually warns you if the brake is not warning so you need to be able to see it.
This works for me using heavy duty Velcro from Bunnings, hasn't moved in 5 months. (You can also see the dual battery controller in the photo). It can be easily unplugged and removed. I was planning to remove it when not being used, but I don't even notice it there anymore and have never come close to bumping my knee, so I just leave it there permanently.

I had a P2 on the 120 and now have a P3 in my 150, the feature i use regulary is the boost button. When i get into a city or busy town i click to B1 or B2 increasing braking power to the trailer so you can get pulled up when some idiot cuts you off .
It saved me from back ending a clown who cut in front of me on a hill approaching lights a couple of years back, so now i always use it.2011 GXL D4D Auto | ARB Deluxe winch bar | Bilstein/Ridepro platinum lift | MT ATZ P3's | Dick Cepek Torque rims | Airtec snorkel | Lightforce Genesis 55w HID | GME UHF | 55w HID high beam | Rhino Rack bars & Cage | ISI extreme rack | Dual Optima Batteries | Milford MXV-70 cargo barrier | ARB onboard air | Prodigy P3 | Drawers & Black widow fridge slide | Waeco CF-50 | Kaymar rear bracket and LED light | EscapeGear seat covers | Sandgrabbas and more...

Oh yeah, mines installed in the same place as Krypto's only i used the bracket. The velcro is a very good idea and would have saved me putting screw holes in the panel.2011 GXL D4D Auto | ARB Deluxe winch bar | Bilstein/Ridepro platinum lift | MT ATZ P3's | Dick Cepek Torque rims | Airtec snorkel | Lightforce Genesis 55w HID | GME UHF | 55w HID high beam | Rhino Rack bars & Cage | ISI extreme rack | Dual Optima Batteries | Milford MXV-70 cargo barrier | ARB onboard air | Prodigy P3 | Drawers & Black widow fridge slide | Waeco CF-50 | Kaymar rear bracket and LED light | EscapeGear seat covers | Sandgrabbas and more...

Hi krypto, have you experienced any braking issues with your P3 installed in this position. I have mine in the same location and experiencing lock ups at low speeds at the slightest touch of the brake pedal. On heavy braking the trailer brakes have a 1-2 second delay before releasing.
Does anyone know where I can take my 150 series in order to have an EXPERT in the P3 look at resolving my issue?

hi i am sure i have read somewhere that someone mounted a controller in where the ashtray goes but i am unsure of which model. I am not a smoker and would love to put a controller there to make things nice and neat. Has anybody done this as I havent been able to find dimensions of the p3 or haymen reese iq. cheers

I fitted mine on the RHS between the door and the fuel flap release. It is a tight fit but the airbag will not be hindered by it either. I knocked my knee on it a few times after the install but learnt not to do that anymore.
Hope this helps
