Auto windows up when you lock vehicle or?
I'd like to knowif it's possible to make all the windows open from the remote with a GXL.
I was sure someone had done it, but dealer disagrees.2011 150series GXL -

Mine worked from the factory, press and hold unlock on your remote, wait for the car to beep, then all the windows will go down, release the button on the remote when done. Well I just went out to the garage to try Ryzz's remote theory on my GXL - yep it works but of course I forgot about the kids shade stuck to the inside as the garage is dark and windows are tinted. It ended up being swallowed by the door, got it out with a tiny nick out of the sill. A massive case of mixed emotions - one second I'm thinking 'that's pretty cool' then 'oh dear'. That'll teach Me for not thinking first.Comment

i was at toyota earlier this week and asked about the dealer programmable options.
i was told that it is possible and that you need to book your car in for it to be hooked up onto the computer system and only after doing that can toyota tell you if your particular model is able to have any of these options enabled. they then switch on/off whatever you want.
they said it costs $60.50 for this. it is charged at their half hour labour rate. be interesting to see what other dealers charge
so basically it will cost you to find out if it is possible, they will do it for that price (at least with this dealer anyway)
he couldnt tell me what year or models it is possible in, only that i need to book it in to hook it up to find out. its now in my plans for the future to find out if i can have this done. anyone tried a 2005 grande yet? i will post up results after i get time to book it in[size=1][color=#990000][b]--> Macarthur District 4WD Club Member <--[/b][/color]

As it turns out, my car came programmed to do it? Give it a crack; hold the open doors button, the doors should unlock, keep holding, there should be a long beep, keep holding it and eventually the windows should roll down. Then to put them up, do the same with the lock button.2011 150series GXLComment
