Fuel Rail Sensor Location

Hi,

I'm just wondering if someone could describe the location of the fuel rail sensor in a 2010 D4D?

Even better if you have a photo of the location.

Is that photo from a 150 series? Is the sensor not located on the fuel rail? My fuel rail is on on the other side of the engine from the dipstick (or so I thought). I will take your photo and have another look at my vehicle to see if I can locate what you have circled.

That pick is not from a 150 but it is in the exact same place. Under the EGR pipe (shinny pipe that goes into shinny box) on the front of the engine on the passenger side. It's difficult to see and you may have to hold your tongue in another position.

It was getting confusing, as most pictures around were for the 120 series. The description that you gave was spot on.

It was relatively easy to get on and off also. It just pulled off under hand pressure. I didnt have to use screwdrivers or anything else. To put back on, i just let the cable "relax" for want of a better word, so it aligned how it came off. I then pushed and heard an audible click.

Hi Barry, Yes, i was going to give it a go myself. Im led to believe that it is just a plug and play module. Now I've found the correct sensor, I'm hoping it is that simple and I can do it myself. Regards Adam

Its too easy mate and you'll love it. Just make sure you secure down the chip and vehicles loom near the fuel sensor as that pipe directly above it gets bloody hot and will melt your harness causing all sorts of drama.

Also if you intend of driving through water make sure you some how reduce the chance of water getting into the chip itself. I have had water get in my chip and it caused a few dramas as well until it dries out.
