  • Custom Rockers - Won't fit.

    Hi All,

I purchased a switch from CustomerRockers to fit in the dash of my Prado 150, after running all the wires, connecting them to the switch through the blanking hole I was ready for the grand finish!...but it didn't fit!! Bugger me I should have tried it first.

It is ~1mm to long for the standard dash 50 switch blanks (down by right knee)..

Has anyone come across this? do custom rockers have different sizes? (Have sent them an E_mail over the weekend, waiting for response).

Has anyone found a source for switches that fit? I have seen plenty of photo's on the forum from people that have these switches mounted, so there must be a way!

    thanks

    Bernie.

      Hi Berniebfg

I have a 120 series and had to file out the hole (about 1mm) to get the customrocker switch to fit. before placing the new switch in the hole I put the original blanking plate in and could not tell that the hole had been modified.

      Cheers

OK, thanks for the info, did you have to glue them in at all or are the "wings" enough to hold it in place?
(hope you know what I mean by wings)

So, what vehicles are the switches made for?

Decided to use a standard Toyota switch (Fog Light), Picked one up on Ebay cheap.

I'll just re-label it and use the Custom Rocker switch for something else.

          Thanks all again.

I didn't need to glue mine the 'Wings' hold them in place, if i want to I can just grab the face and pull them out but they dont move.

            Cheers
