  • Low Beam Lighting Upgrade - Not HID

Sorry if this has been covered before but I could only find info on HID Upgrade.

Has anyone upgraded their low beam lights on GX/GXL/Altitude.

I do not want to go to HID's.

    Really just after globe upgrade.

What sort of globes are the low beam
    Cheers

In my alternate brand car I went from standard 55w bulbs to Philips 4000K Blue Vision H9 12V 65W, Part Number 12361 BV S2

Required me to carve out a small piece of the joiner plastic (they are meant for hight beam sockets) to fit but work a treat. My vehicle has a focussed low beam light so it doesn't spread the stronger beam upwards into eye level but on the same arc, just further and brighter.

Have been in for 6 months so far and very happy

I now have the Philips H11 globes, about 80% more light output. A straight replacement globe for low beam.
