  • Will XGT 240 55W Lightforce fit on an ARB bullbar or OL bullbar???

    Guys,

Looking to put a bar on the new 150, and trying to work out what lights to put on. Does anyone have LF XGT 240 55W fitted?? If so, any chance you can take a photo so I can see what they look like

    Thanks in Advance

    Dave

They're exactly the same as what I have, Dave. Just with an internal HID ballast.

240 XGT's, standard halogen though. However they're useless as they're no better than the 150 high beams.

The truth hurts. See if you can get a good deal on two sets of HID's, I might be interested.

              Wooley,

Just quietly, if I can get a good deal on them, I reckon there may well be a few extra orders

I wouldn't mind having 6, 2 for the front, 4 for the roof

These are XGT's on an ARB bar. These are the Lightforce 70W HIDs, not that it makes any difference to the looks.

                  Cheers,
                  Dave.

Oh, and wooley, I think these ones drown the stock high beams out by a bit

who did the 70W HID conversion on them, DaveZ?

This threads getting confusing with 3 Daves in it.

Lightforce does them. They use an external ballast though, unlike the 50 and 35, it's all genuine lightforce though.

Oh, and I was never all that impressed by the halogen XGTs either, but I DO like these lights

                          Ah custom built. Cool.

I was talking to Lightforce today about sending in my halogens to be converted to HID.

Do you ever find the 70W are just too bright? with reflections of signs etc?

Very rarely. Occasionally you'll hit a sign for a split second and think, jeez that's a reflective little bugger, but mostly, no, I think their brightness and colour is perfect. They are a little slow on initial warmup, maybe ~15 seconds at a guess, but after that they are pretty quick.

did you go 4200K or 5000K?

maybe I'll go for the 70W, If they upgrade halogens to HID you get external ballast anyway so may as well make it worth it.
