  • Dual battery setup for 150 V6

Hi does anyone have any advice on a dual battery set up for 150 petrol, the guys at arb Perth told me due to the space available can only fit 50ah battery in engine bay, and that I have to go for a external, battery in the boot, does anyone have any suggestions on options or done anything different, I'm in Perth so if there are an installers who no a good solution that would be good, I would lie at least an80 ah to run fridge for at least 2 days?

Opposite Lock have a tray that holds a 75 AH battery I have put in mine, it fits done and takes about 2 hours to install, I think Outback Ideas are the manufacturer.

TJM in Sydney fitted an 80 AH battery in the vacant slot, but was a tight fit. Don't remember what tray they used, as they fitted a few other goodies all at the one time.

There is quite a bit of info on dual battery setups and which type of battery to use and importantly how quick these batteries charge back up to a 80-90% level. From my searching the threads i would get a optima battery 66AH. Reasoning being it will take the shortist amount of time( around 90mins) to get back to the said charge level. I guess it depends on the 4wding you do and time spent camping. Also search for the cracking guard thread may influence your choices.
