Hi all, has anyone upgraded the globes in the standard reversing lights in a 150. I was thinking of trying some LED globes before adding a seperate light.
Any help greatly appreciated.

The 150 is already led reverse lights I believe.

Not LED in mine. I am looking in the manual to see if they list the globe type.

I had a look in the manual the other day and they have a regular globe, from memory it was 16W with a wedge base. I'll take one out and have a closer look in the next few days to see what I can fit in and then trawl google to see what options there are out there. Well, I took the bulb out and had a look, it had the following on it:
Stanley 12V
WY 21W
21BB
E4
2FG
on the plastic where it clicks in it has Stanley P8162
Here is a pic of the bulb
After doing some searching it is referred to as a T10, or 501 or type 921 bulb. I have orderd a couple of types on fleabay to try them out and will report back results.

I think you will find the Cree Q5 one will put out better light than the SMD as the light is cooming mostly from the side of the globe. Hi all,
I am in Europe for work for a couple of weeks and the new globes had not arrived before I left Oz. I'm back at the end of next week and hopefully they would have arrived while I am away. I'll try them out as soon as I get back and let you know.
Have not seen a single Prado over here yet, but love driving here, so much better than home. Unfortunately a diesel Golf will only just do 200, I wonder what a Prado will do?
