Interior Lighting.... What Mods have people Done?

    Interior Lighting.... What Mods have people Done?

    I thought I'd ask the question as to what people have done in modifying their interior lighting + has anyone installed LED lighting on the Interior side of the Rear Door?

    I'm slowly going through replacing all interior bulbs with LED and so far I've only received the following ones for the Map Lights above the Drivers/Passengers head. These are the ones I used (ie the Longer ones and yes they do fit in)

    I used the one that has 13SMD and I was a little surprised that it fitted...better than the original ones

    I'm also looking for a LED light to attach the the inside of the rear door + also inside the cargo area... What have people been using?

        Hi rob, just a question why did you go the 13SMD . Will the 9SMD fit as well ? and do they just slot in when you remove the pervious ones? Cheers

          If the 13SMD fit, I'm assuming the 9SMD will also fit as they would not be as long in length as the 13SMD. Yes, they should just slot straight in. I was quite surprised that the 13SMD ones fitted in as they are quite long and I originally had another use for them but after seeing that they fit in and the light they put out, I'll be keeping them in there and will look at buying some more.....

            Sorry Rev.... I must have missed this one..... That's a BRIGHT LED light you've got. May I ask where u source them from and roughly what the cost might be?

              Rob, I have one that is almost identical (but I havent wired it in yet, its on the too do list... ).
              I got mine from Springers solar in Birsbane. They are currently on special there. See here

                    Hi Rob, I bought mine thru Richson, after seeing his at the 2011 GTG I got him to get one for me so he bought it & sent it to me.
                    I was that impressed againn once it was installed that I got him to send me another 2, to use in the annex of my camper. I wired them up to a single 12 volt plug and they are brilliant (the photo doesn't really do them justice). each light has a touch sensitive switch. I can't remember the name of them but they cost me $40 each.
