fitting p3 tekonsha may have prob help please

hi people , info needed , i an in the process of fitting a P 3 Tekonsha to my 150 have wired it as per diagram & its on all the time as it say`s to run ., Black to Poss Power
White to Earth
Red to Cold side stop light
Blue to the Trailer Plug .
so its on all the time ,have you blokes placed an ON /OFF switch on the power line to turn it off or have i got it wrong ,also do you have to re set it every time you take off after you have stoped or dose it remember your settings , any info would be appeatted

Mine stays on until a period of zero movement on the car. About 5-10mins I think...

Same for mine.
Stays on for a few minutes after car turned off, then swithces off.
Remembers settings.

Mine is the same. Stays on and turns itself off after a while. Remembers its settings and all is good.

thanks to all for the info ,thought i had a problem as it would not go off .
But after your posts , conected it back up today and left it after 10 or so minuets it went of like yours ,thanks for the help
