Whats this wiring do that is located under the 3rd row seats of a 150s??

  • Whats this wiring do that is located under the 3rd row seats of a 150s??

    Guys....
    I'm in the process of building/designing a storage system in the rear of our 150's. I pulled the 4rd row out and came across this wiring.... can anyone tell what it does / if its req'd for seat belt indication,,,, etc etc









    Any help would be great b4 I get into the thick of building, etc.....

    The unit plugged into the end of that cable is one of the indoor electrical key antennae.
    Used to sense the presence of the electronic key inside the car.

        There are three "internal indoor electrical key antennae", another outside near rear door and possibly others or similar near door locks and start button.

        It would be easier to use a plain old style key! No wonder the 150 is 400Kg heavier than the 95 series with all the extra electronics, cabling, plugs, motors, relays etc

          So when you install the drawer system, and in the process lose your key underneath it all, your car will stay permanently unlocked. Great idea.

            Least you will work out where it is and it won't be lost
