P3 Brake Controller Query

Hi guys,

Does anyone have brake release problem with their Trailers? I have a Kimberley Kamper Platinum with elec hydro brakes. When I release my foot off the brake pedal, there is a slight delay in the trailer brakes being released. The car gets a little shunt.

Could this be because I have wired the sensor wire that goes to the brake controller to the upstream side of the HR brake light wire on the OEM wiring loom. The instructions say to wire to the stop light wire (+)?

Any feedback or advise would be appreciated.

Hey mate, have you worked out the prob with the P3? Was it easy to install?

The P3 is a piece of cake to install.

I haven't resolved my concern yet. I was hoping that someone here might have a solution.

Perhaps I will go back to the supplier and ask him. Maybe it's a unit fault as there is no adjustability with the brakes on the trailer. All brake control/modulation is done through the P3.

The electric/hydraulic brakes on the trailer only have a local manual button for brake actuation.
