  • Fog light switch

I've just replaced the front bumper on my GX with a fog light version... now I wouldn't mind getting the fog lights going. Anyone with a posh pack mind telling me which hole the fog light switch goes in? Has anyone done this before & know what else I need to know to make them go?

I hate to break the bad news Gordon but the fog light switch is on the indicator stalk.

I assume it would be a similar mod that me and others have done with the 120s . Replace the indicator stalk with one that has the fog light switch on it adjacent to the headlight switch, drop in relay in the relay box under the bonnet, plug the lights into the provided socket plugs and bingo your fogs will work. There are a couple of threads in the 120 series section. Can't see why it would be any different to the 120s
      cheers

Gordon it will be way cheaper just to get a switch from NewPro or ABR and fit it into a vacant blank. I seem to recall a post saying the stalk assembly was $300+.

Yep I bought the sidewinder switch some months ago in anticipation of the original arrangement being a dash switch (oops). I am still keeping this option open. Thanks. I'll post details if I come up with an interesting solution.

Check out a wrecker ,i got the indicator stalk from this wrecker for $100, payed about $20 for the relay ,with a factory like fitment being the result..
The wrecker mention below although no association ,have always got what i was looking for so happy to recommend.

I got the lights for $50 and the wiring was all already in place on my GX. Toyota put the indicator stalk in for $220ish, but forgot to charge for labour, which I'm guessing would have been about 1hr.
