  • Led flood light with Magnetic mount

I thought I'd share this with you guys. Copied it of my cousin mostly.

$40 for two 27w led flood lights
$12 for Magnet with thread, rubber boot and 40kg pull
$2 for look alike leather place mat. I felt like the rubber boot that came with the magnet was too thin and got a small hole in it the first time I took it off. So I glued on a circular bit of place mat to make sure my car doesn't get scratched.
Originally I just soldered on an old cigarette lighter plug from a battery charger (it worked just fine) but I felt like the wire was too thin. Bought a heavy duty one from repco or some place like that

Plugs into any cigarette light socket. I can stick it onto my car wherever I like. On the roof or on the side and facing any direction and it tilts up and down. Its rock solid!
I look forward to using it for camping and fishing or anything else I can make an excuse for to bring it out.
Fits perfectly in the little panel on the back left.

      thanks

Yeah give it a shot! Its fairly cheap and easy.
There are tons of different combinations, but those lights seemed the most affordable. that magnet could handle more weight(bigger light), but I'm not sure how much confidence I would have in it being solid like it is now. It would actually be even more solid if I just used the original rubber boot on the magnet or a thinner place mat.
I guess two magnets could be put on a big light bar and put on the roof.

Have to say i think Craig was the pioneer on this idea. But great minds think alike obviously superdavid
Craig used his camping the other week and I was mightily impressed at this setup
          Cheers

Credit goes to Bushbasher on this one.... yes I do love the flexibility of being able to plant it anywhere I choose and is kept out of reach of mischievous fingers when out and about.
