Faulty ECU

Hi

Just wanted to share and get some feed back.

I bought a brand new 150 gxl in FEB.
Came home from work on Monday then went to go out, and my engine light, traction control and the h4 light was all on.
Called toyota n they said bring it in, it's still at toyota they said its the computer it's buggered, they order a new computer and said there is
Over 30 pages to read before they can program it.
if its not the computer then they need to keep looking. The vehicle gas not even seen dirt yet.

Anyone else had this issue?

Yes I posted about it under its own thread "Kakadu Electrical Problems". Mine has been in the workshop for 10 days straight while I wait for a new ECU. They found that the ECU failed and needed replacing. I took it out to do a bit of 4WDing and slowly all the systems stopped working. Was told by my local dealer a heap of BS about crossed wires when they handed the car back but it still wasn't working. Took it 50mins up the road to Southern Highlands Toyota and they found the fault after 2 days as an ECU failure, but I've had to wait 10 days for the part to arrive. Should get it today finally fingers crossed.

I got mine back today all seems okay but I guess I will have to give it time, 1 new thing when I hold the lock key for 2 seconds the windows go up and unlock to put windows down remotely. Hope your vehicle is good when u get it back.

Got it back today with new ECU and tail shaft installed. Mine does not have the auto window function thing but at least now everything works. Fingers crossed.

It is a feature that can be programmed by the dealer, not by default.

Request it. Is great for summer.
