Mystery Plug under car

Morning All,

Crawling under the car as you do sometimes I came across this plug this morning and was wondering if anyone knows what it is?

Found it on the passenger side of the car near the sidesteps coming through a rubber grommet from inside the car, has two wires running to it. I am guessing its one of two things:
* Power Source for an add on to another model
* Sensor (airbag maybe?)

So I thought I would ask you guys and see if anyone had an idea. Had a look and can't see one on the drivers side :S

Car is a 2013 GXL D4D by the way.

I would suggest it is a plug for the under step lights.

You will find that all models have heaps of unused plugs all over the place for different things, be they for upspec models or overseas models.

Ahh that would make sense, might try unplugging it and see if there is some power I can tap into.

Thanks for that BundyK somewhat ironically this thread and the one your referring to are now right next to each other, guess the answer was hiding in plain site the whole time.
