    Can anyone help a newbie
    Im looking for advice on how to wire my new GME uhf and aerial.
    Im sure some people have done it before.
    Any help would be great

    I would use the usually the power for the stereo, tap into those. Tap into the - for the black.
    If you want it to be available to be turned on with ignition off, use the +ve supply to the stereo. If you want it to be only be available to be turned on when the ignition is on, tap into the Ignition on to the stereo. It only sends out a +ve signal when ignition is on.

    Wish list in order I'll get them: Sliders, 2" lift, E-locker, Winch bar with winch.

      I have my UHF wired directly to the cranking battery, the leads go through the firewall on the passenger side. The aerial is also routed via the firewall and comes out under the dash. I have the main unit hidden under the glove box and the mic extension lead routed behind and under the centre console then stuck to the side of the console with double-sided tape. Not sure which GME unit you have so don't know if this is an option for you. Have a look at these threads, they may give you some ideas on how it's done :-
