Battery Disconnection

Does the entertainment system in the GXL require a security code after the battery has been disconnected?

Mine didn't when changing the starter battery for a new one. It also didn't need one when the 2nd battery was installed as far as I know, they would have had to disconnect the main battery for that as well. I have a Kakadu but I don't see why the GXL would be any different.

I have had the main battery disconnected a few time in my GXL no need to enter any codes.

Hi fido, most new vehicles no long require a security code to be entered after a battery disconnect.

The only things your are likely to have to loose is your clock and date setting and your trip meter setting.
