is it possible to upgrade the standard unit to sat nab?

hi,

looking at getting a new prado. The current GXL models have a large touch screen, but no sat nab, looks like the same unit as in the hilux which does have the sat nav function. Unfortunately there is no optional extra upgrade for the GXL to get the sat nav.

Does anyone know if there is some aftermarket option for upgrading to include sat nav using the existing screen?

Yes there is, dealer can do it and there is a thread on here about it for $1300

I don't think there is a factory option,. We'll there wasn't when I bought mine in January. There is an aftermarket option though:
