I'd be starting with the push button then.

My first question is why did you disconnect the battery in the first place?

Im guessing that if you installed any accessory's of any sort did you pick an ignition live wire that has activated the power supply to the starter solenoid because that is the only power supply that would throw out the armature to spin the starter motor!

Well?... That would be a question in the right direction i guess?

The more information you can provide then there is more chance of trying to work out what has happened?

I don't have a wiring diagram on the 150's but there could be something shorting the starter relay given that it even turns over with rig in gear as the inhibitor switch is supposed to break the circuit whilst in gear?

I would pull the starter rely out and see what happens?.... Then take it from there!

A bit late now but in future if want to save the grief of re-entering radio code or station pre-sets or re-setting auto windows etc buy one of these below and save the grief!

PROJECTA BATTERY MEMORY SECURITY CODE RADIO SAVER TOOL IPS130
              http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-PROJE...item4183105813

I figure this one over the cig lighter one as they don't work if accessory only (Unless ignition on auxiliary) and the vob entry cars just add more to the equations ..... Simplicity rules

Had a quick look at the 150 wiring diagram just then. The start signal from the engine ECU goes through the neutral start switch as expected and drives the starter relay (which is in the engine bay fuse panel and labelled 'ST'). The relay then drives the stater motor coil directly. As mentioned in the earlier post remove the relay and go from there.

Possibly a fault with the starter motor???

I know in one of my old commodores replaced the starter and then once i connected the battery the car started. Tapped the starter a few times and no problem!

                    Ok cheers guys

As for what lead to this

I washed the engine bay- took car for a drive 10-15 mins

Parked it then moved it again

Next day went to start it but battery flat as a tack only 5 volts in it,

Tried jump starting , as soon as the isolator is enganged it started cracking slowly

I now have the main battery on charge and will see how it goes tonight

Ok so it still just cranks

The relay is constantly powered enabling the starter

The dash lights don't work nor do the parkers

All fuses appear to be ok

                          Water in fuse box.
                          Shorted or jammed starter solenoid.
Above would possibly be drawing so much from low charged battery that no lights will come on.
Disconnect "start trigger" wire from starter and connect battery. If it cranks there's your problem..
If it doesn't. It's not the starter or solenoid.

Ok so if I take the relay out it stops cranking

                            Fuse box seems dry

A mate suggested body control module does any one know where this is

All other functions work apart from dash display and parkers

It's kakadu so it has fuel useage display inbetween speedo
