Hi All, I am hoping you can help, because the Toyota dealer had no clue. We went on a camping trip the other week with our church, down to Bendethra, which involves a few water crossings, nothing too deep or too long. But myself ,with a 2011 Petrol 150 and him with 2011 Diesel 150, both had the same issues with our cars a couple of days later.
My car was lazy to start ( wind over for a long time ) and then the 4Lo light would come on and flash and the traction control warning light would flash and these two would stay on till I stopped the car, or, it would not start at all and I had to jump it from the dual battery ( which is new) so I took it to the auto elec and he said the main battery was fine and could not find anything.
This went on for about a week and low and behold I went out the next Mon and it started fine and no problems hence and my mates car had the same problems and it fixed itself after a week as well. We are mistified as we have the polar opposites in motors and no problems at all before hand or since.
I am planning on going to the Cape next year so I dont want it to raise its ugly head again.
Please help
