How did you do it ? This is something that bothers me since I got my Prado.

How did you do it ? This is something that bothers me since I got my Prado.

As Richie mentioned, there are instructions in the first post. I used the same relays from Jaycar and some light gauge two core double insulated auto cable. There is a spare switch cable behind the lower dash right side switch panel that can be used to pick up the dash night illumination sense.

Removing the dash panels is quite easy in the following sequence;

1.Drivers scuff plate - pulls up vertically and is quite tight
2. Kick panel pulls back towards the rear - was quite tight on mine
3. vertical side panel pulls off sideways toward open door
4 main lower dash panel with switches unclips after removing two hex head screws and one self tapper.

Run cable to headlights. Not much standard loom wire to play with behind the headlights to splice relay Normally Open contacts into, I could do the left hand side without removing starter battery but needed to remove my aux battery to do right hand headlight.
