  • Fast blinker flash

Just today the right hand blinkers started flashing really quickly. They are all working, just extra fast.

They work fine, flashing at the normal speed, when using the hazard lights. It's a few months old, only done 4000km.

    Any ideas?

Normally its a sign a globe is out. Stupid question but when you checked them, you also checked the ones on the door mirrors?

In older (pre ecu) cars fast blinkers usually mean a pood relay or pood bulb. If all bulbs are working, maybe need to look at the relay(s). Ive never really worked on modern cars, so someone else should be able to confirm. The relay should time your lights off memory.

Usually happens when a bulb is swapped for LEDs.

Found the problem. The after market blinkers/park lights fitted with the Smartbar had a dodgy earth connection.
The earth wire comes in from the back, bends around and simply jams in between the plastic shroud and the metal of the bulb socket.
Gave the socket a bit of a twist and connection came good. It seems pretty tight, but will be keeping an eye on it.
                Cheers

Had the same thing happen with my 2010 150 series VX. Turned out to be bullbar right hand side flasher. The green earth cable was not contacting properly.
