Ambient light harness (map lights)

Dear Mates,

Im new here and I try to search in the forums a mod for the map lights, as you see in the map lights there are 2 squares for the ambient light, but only in the VX that led lights work, did anybody do a mod in the harness? I think that if I bridge 12v in the blanket holes of the harness they will light up those leds....

What are the two LEDs meant to do? You could probably trace the PCB tracks back the connector to work out how they get turned on. If they are connected directly to the connector you will need to watch what voltage you apply - 12V across a LED will blow it up.

They are a orange/yellow LED and not very bright. As the OP says - they are for ambience.

Is there an Update how to get the Ambient light working?
I bought an Adapter from AliExpress, but is not working.
