Head unit/Bluetooth issue

Bit frustrated so seeking some advice.
i have a 2014 GXL and last dec the Bluetooth stopped connecting to any device. Never had any previous probs from new.
I have tried all of the settings, tried other peeps devices and even a Toyota dealer “tried” but wanted more time ( me thinks more $), but still no Bluetooth signal from the car.
I rang a dealer and they said the head unit was not a Toyota product and that I would need to take it up with Fujitsu, BUT they are strict on their 3 year warranty so good luck. Basically Toyota are washing their hands.

What could be my options re. replacement, warranty under aus consumer law, Toyota’s claim that the part is not their responsibility...

Or has anyone else had an similar issue.

Are you the first owner? If it's out of warranty then you have problem and if you're not the first owner you probably can't ask for goodwill. I have the same car and while mine connects to Bluetooth I find the sound quality really poor, like the person is in a tin can. We have 3 cars at home and this is by far the worst, I ring my wife and it sounds terrible so I cut the conversation short. I think it's just old technology and you should buy a better head unit, Im selling mine otherwise thats what I would do.

An update: went to original dealer and agreed to pay for a $77 diagnosis. They found that yes the audio unit was not putting out BT signal and usb connectivity. They submitted a goodwill claim, and yesterday i had a new unit installed. Yay!
sometimes the dealers surprise me. Charge like wounded bulls for little things, then support the client.
