Headlights always on 2015 GLX

Hello

This is my first post in a great forum. I have done a lot of searching but have not found any info on the following problem.
I have a 2015 GXL bought from an Auction which I think was an ex Rental which has the headlights on when the engine is started regardless of where the headlight switch is. The headlight indicator light on the dash comes on but the dash illumination lights do not dim until the headlight switch is switched to parkers or headlights on.
I have looked near the fuse box for any wiring changes but I can't see any.
Has anyone come across this before? Is this something that can be programmed through the OBD2 port?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to PP mate. Yes the headlights are always on. It is not a mod that someone has done. Toyota uses the low beam as DRL (Daytime Running Lights). There is a bit of a mod you can do in the thread below.

I have a 2014 GXL that is like this. No issues so far and I haven't had to replace any bulbs yet (/touch wood).
