Cheaper dcdc charger

I Have a 2018 gxl

and have been reading on here about the alternator and needing a dcdc for the dual
battery system, I have a older vsr from my 80 and 105 series cruisers wich worked fine but seems like I may not be able to use this to get a proper charge..

anyways does anyone have any experience from using cheaper brand dcdc charges such as the “kickass” “thunder” “projector and other ones on the market

I know most people use the Redarc and ctek but they are a little out of my price range I put a tray wiring and new deep cycle battery in...

I’ve also seen 4wd supacentre have a ctek that doesn’t look to bad not sure if anyone is running this one ??

Ive got the Thunder 20A in my caravan. Was skeptical about it but it works well and has a 20A mmpt solar input as well.
