Hi all, My 2016 GXL 150 series has inherited a high pitch squeal/noise, emanating somewhere around the 3rd row of seating (possibly under the side trim). It seams to start when on a straight, smooth road with all 3 zones ticking away at about 23"c. If you turn the aircon totally off (all 3 zones), the squeal lowers in pitch and then stops completely within about 1-2 seconds. If you hit a pothole or bump it also stops, but then restarts within about 1 minute (maybe a bit less). It only appear to do it when the aircon is stable, and just ticking over, not when its raging to find a temp. Being such a high pitch, I can hear it over the radio, but if you turn the radio off, its a lot more noticeable. If you stop and open the boot, it seems to stop. (and yes I have tried to get the kids to hear where its coming from while driving, but they cant seem to pinpoint it) It is SO annoying when your driving. Toyota have had the vehicle numerous times now and although the first time said they could hear it, now cant when its in the shop. I suspect its an aircon fan "bearing" for the rear zone possibly ?? But cant find too much info on the rear zone install.
Anyone come across something similar ? Would welcome some help, as I'm pulling my hair out, and there ain't much to go !
