Reverse Camera install

hi guys,

just a quick question, i am installing a reverse cam into daughters car, one end has AV plug with red and black wires, the other end has AV plug and single red tail wire, i have wired the red and black wire into the reverse lights pos and neg but with the red wire tail at the other end im a loss at where it should be, should it go to a trigger wire at the head unit (after market) or just to a positive wire, many thanks for help...

gympiebrowns yes usually this is a trigger wire that will tell the head unit the car is in reverse. My head unit had a 'reverse' trigger wire that you select either positive or ground, depending on how the cars reverse lights work. Was positive in the case of my 90 series.
