  • ARB indicators KDJ150

Hi, I am installing an ARB Summit bar on to my 2014 facelift Prado. It came with a factory bullbar. The original indicator/side lights have 4 wires including the trigger wire, the ARB led's have 3; no trigger wire! I have wired all but the trigger wire ( as per instructions) and the indicators flash too fast! ARB can't help, too hard to explain over the phone they tell me! Searching the web goes back to the low load of the Led's and I need to intall a bridging resistor to emulate the original light fitting current. Has anyone done this or found a more elegant way on the later models , maybe ARB supply a complete package that actually works out the box?
    All ideas welcome. Cheers Dave

One option would be to fit LEDs to all indicators and change the indicator relay to a LED compatible unit, conversely you may be able to just fit a LED relay however I think the incandescent globes may have too high a load for a LED relay.

Perhaps ask your local auto electrician, they should be able to advise/sell you the correct bits.

Hi Lee, thanks for the advice. Maybe ARB should fit a ballast resistor in the unit.
