Passenger side mirror issue

Hi,

I have recently become an owner of a 150 series Prado. I was playing around with the controls and discovered there was a button to have the side mirrors fold themselves. But I noticed for some reason only my driver side folds when pressing the button, the passenger side does nothing - not even a sound!

Anyone have any ideas how I might diagnose(fix?) the issue beyond taking it to a mechanic?

Could be that the mirror is busted internally and has been disconnected. Hope not as it is an expensive replacement.

Think you will find it has been unplugged because it has broken locator lug in retraction gear ٫ if side mirror gets pushed forward it snaps the location stop lug٫ when lug gets broken mirror will fold open and go fully forward every time you power the car . easy financial fix when this happens is to unplug that motor system .
You can unplug or disconnect this fold in and out motor by
1. Hard way
pulling side mirror off and Disassemble mirror and remove cover and unplug small 2 wire (See photo)
2. Easy way
wire plug that comes out of mirror and plugs join is behind door trim .this plug looks like single plug but it is 2 small plugs in one plug. 5 wire plug and 2 wire plug. either unplug the 2wire plug (See photo) or cut these 2 wires.
