Where Is the Speed sensor (VSS) wire

Hi everyone.
Can anyone tell me where the speed sensor wire is in a 2010 150 GX? I have a Kenwood head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay that requires me to tap into the speed sensor wire (also known as speed pulse wire or VSS wire). I have searched Pradopoint with no luck. I have read the wire colour thread on this forum but the info there doesn’t help. Anyone on here tapped into this wire and can tell me where to find it?

With the latest updates from Kenwood and Apple you dont need to have the VSS wire attached. This was a requirement until recent updates.
Just tape them up and dont bother connecting them.

Is that also the case with Pioneer DMHZ6350BT? Am trying to locate the VSS wire in the factory harness in a 2012 Prado GXL. The factory Toyota stereo is a Pioneer 86120-60C60. I’ve tried the below thin red wire in the below quote but that didn’t work.

This is used for a rally computer trip meter

It is a thin solid red, at rear of stereo, on the conector second from drivers door this generates a pulse of 2519 per kilometer

It works fine with my Monit TC100 as well as the TerraTrip

I have a 2020 GXL. Not sure this will help you but in case, mine is found at the back of the head unit. The wire can be traced back to the instrument cluster where it originates. The instrument cluster gets vehicle speed from the CAN bus in turn.

I've been on there a few times, and found all I needed plus more. It does come at a cost, so if you know someone with access, best ask them. ;-)
