  • 2014 GX navigation options

    Hi all.

So I very recently bit the bullet and traded my petrol 120 series on a 2014 diesel gx.

I didn't think it would bother me when I bought it, but I've started missing navigation.

Are there any options to utilise the av input for GPS functionality? I've come across naviplus bit qt around a grand it seems expensive.

Am I best to just replace the factory unit with an aftermarket one?

    Thanks

I can't say I've heard of a GPS player unit, just supplying AV to a separate screen. If it is to be interactive, I doubt that the OEM screen could supply any touch signals back to the GPS unit.

I have a 6" aftermarket NAVMAN in my 150 GX. I'd look at other brands before buying another NAVMAN but it does the job. It takes at least a kilometre to boot up and can give really silly directions at times (we call the female voice Misdirection Myrtle) but the map updates are free.
