Random - battery light comes on every now and then

As the title says- battery light comes on every now and then - 2014 GXL, never had it happen before but just randomly the battery light would come on...anyone know why this would happen? Fors time i was running the fridge pretty well in the back , driving around camping in NSW, crapped myself as i thought the battery was going to die....second and third times just randomly went on and stayed on when turning the car on.
For context : 2014 GXL, with dual battery system redarc diode and Lee's alternator booster diode.
Any thoughts?

Sounds like your alternator is on the way out.

yep any minute the alternator will go. just replaced mine 2 weeks ago

That might explain my flat starter battery.....
