  • Failed Starting Battery

Things started to sound a bit lazy when starting recently so I put the clamp meter on the starter motor and found that the inrush current had reduced from 528A to 261A since I had last tested it a couple of years ago. Battery is a Yuasa N70ZZLX MF with a 30 month guarantee and as it was 25 months since fitment I went back to Battery World to have it checked. Sure enough, when they put the load tester on it it failed, so they provided a replacement, no charge. Not great that it failed prematurely but very happy to have it replaced under guarantee.
