  • the engine of my land cruiser 150 prado 2016 does not start

Hi guys, I have a question. My 2016 toyota Land cruiser 150 2.8 177cv diesel won't start the engine. I have tried a jump starter. The control panel lights up but the engine does not start. What do you think could be the problem? I was thinking of changing the main fuse. First I want to check all the fuses with a multimeter to verify if any fuse is blown. I accept suggestions. The battery is "dead" but with the battery booster it should start the engine..I appreciate your help.

Replace battery, a lot of battery boosters wont have enough to do the job if the battery is "dead"

Do you see any lights on the dash with the booster attached? Are you getting any noises, or is it completely dead? I assume that the fuse would show if it was blown.

Next Tuesday I will receive a new battery and test if the toyota starts. I have checked all the fuses with the multimeter and they seem fine except for the main fuse. That does not give continuity. Nor do I know if I am measuring it well. Well, it is different from the others. Attached a photo so that you think if it is good or broken? Ask for this spare part at a toyota workshop. 275 eur + VAT. I think that if I have to change, I have to disassemble the entire fuse box, since it is screwed, I believe, by 3 screws below. If you know more information, I appreciate it. Thanks for your information.

Replace battery, see if any change. If not, is the starter solenoid trigger connected? check thats getting power when you turn the key (Or press start).
