New head Unit Install, All Works.. No Sound! - 2016 GXL

Hi All,

First time poster long time reader.

I have been pulling my hair out on this one. I have installed a new head unit and everything works perfectly! Except the sound!!

I purchased:

Head Unit:

1 x Sony XAV-AX3000

Sony XAV-AX3000 6.95 Apple CarPlay Android Auto Bluetooth Head Unit | Automotive Superstore


1 x Aerpro CHTO15C Steering Wheel Control Harness to suit Toyota AU $114.00

Aerpro CHTO15C Steering Wheel Control Harness to suit Toyota AU | Automotive Superstore

1 x Aerpro to Suit Brand in Package

On the Aerpro website this is all compatible Link below:

Toyota Prado 2014-2017 150 Series | Aerpro

One thing I might note, it looks like I have an AMP? - This is below my drivers seat (possible because my car had a dvd player in it?)

This is on the website for the CHTO15C - "Notes: Not compatible with premium, amplified or factory upgraded audio systems."

I'm wondering if the linked harnesses are not compatible. Or I have no idea about what im doing.


Im sure its just something silly I have missed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Last note ( I have a blue white wire out, I was trying something, its back in its spot)

I haven't seen this before, however first question. Do the wire colours going to the amp match up with the speaker wires at the head unit? I would have thought that an amp would have RCA inputs?

All good mate, turns out they sent me the wrong harness. an AMP compatible harness was needed.
